Today I want to share my top 3 training and nutrition tips for results that last.
1. TURN UP!
Whether you're booked in for personal training, group training or you and a friend have set yourself a goal to walk 10,000 steps a day... TURN UP. Schedule it in to your diary and make it a priority. Yes there will be obstacles to overcome and yes you may have to move things around to make it happen but make it happen! "You can't complain about the results you didn't get for the work you didn't do"
2. MAKE BETTER CHOICES!
Forget diets, they don't work. They are a means to an end, which is fine if that's what you want but if you want to achieve good results and maintain them, you need to start looking longer term. Don't punish yourself with restrictive diets but also don't punish yourself for eating something you fancy. The key is to understand food enough to make an educated decision for yourself and not follow what (insert name's) diet book tells you to. Sure we could all do with eating more fruit and veg but we also need to chill the f*** out and have a glass of wine and bit of chocolate if we fancy it. The best diet will always be the one you can stick to longest and for me that has only come to light in the last 6 months. I now naturally make what I believe to be good choices but I also have a bit of what I fancy. I no longer panic about meal times or grams of chicken, I just eat when I'm hungry and I eat until I'm full. I'm mindful of portion size and I do my best to build a plate of food that I believe to tick the boxes of good nutrition and good taste.
3. KEEP DOING NUMBER 1 & 2!
